Hermetically sealed inside an inert-gas-filled glass capsule, these magnetic reed switches contain two ferromagnetic flexible metal reeds. In the presence of an external magnetic field (neodymium magnet), the contacts snap shut, enabling non-contact window/door alarm sensing.
